Is SBTRCT eco friendly?

We like to think so. We believe that our industry faces three key environmental challenges. Our solid state formulations allows us to tackle these challenges head on and without compromise.We are zero plastic - our industry is responsible for over 120 billion units of plastic packaging each year. We recognise that we can’t recycle our way out of this problem and take a zero plastic approach to our skincare.Our formulations are less that 0.5% water - up to 70% of traditional creams and lotions can be water despite 844 million people globally lacking access to clean, safe water. We never add water to our formulations.Our skincare is palm oil free - over 70% of personal care products contain palm oil derived ingredients and this over reliance is strongly linked to deforestation and destruction of wildlife habitats and ecosystems. We choose to avoid palm oil altogether.

How to use
Gentle Foaming Cleanser:
Wet face
Rub the product in wet hands to lather
Apply to face and wash thoroughly
Rinse

Moisturising Facial Balm:
Start with dry skin
Remove the product from your bamboo pot (if you have one) using the ribbon
Warm the product between your hands until you feel it begin to ease
Massage over the face using your hands
How to store
Gentle Foaming Cleanser:Between uses make sure your product is away from running water and does not sit on a wet surface.

Moisturising Facial Balm:For best results keep out of direct sunlight and in a cool place.

Our Discovery Set Bamboo Holder has been developed as the perfect home for your Discovery Set. Subtly branded with a swivel lid and magnetic seal, it will keep your products out of direct sunlight, away from water between uses and looking beautiful on your bathroom shelf.

What to do with the packaging
The carton and paper wrap for this product are both 100% compostable. Stick it on the compost heap, give it 90 days, pull on your gardening gloves and start planting your hardy perennials. No compost heap? No problem. All our packaging is recyclable. No rinsing or separating required.

Great discovery

I recently discovered SBTRCT with their full-size foaming cleanser and was really impressed, so decided to buy two "discovery sets" - one as a gift to a friend, complete with the bamboo box. The fragrance is very pleasant and "herbal", so cleansing feels a bit like an aromatherapy treat. The products are both gentle and effective. Plus them being solid makes the set super convenient for travel. I hope SBTRCT will keep growing as a brand.

I’m a recent convert to this duo. The cleanser is excellent for ridding my face of the daily grim with leaving it feeling dried out.

The bamboo holders are brilliant at preventing waste.
