Modern Slavery Statement

At SBTRCT we pioneer award-winning, expert and concentrated solid state products use proven ingredients such as Squalane, Vitamin C and Retinoids to deliver the very best skincare results.

100% plastic-free with domestically compostable packaging, palm oil-free and with zero added water content, our products address the three biggest environmental challenges facing the beauty industry: plastic pollution, water waste and over-reliance on palm oil.

SBTRCT products are certified cruelty free by Cruelty Free International and vegan by The Vegan Society.  SBTRCT is also a certified B Corp.

People are everything and from the very beginning, we’ve always been about empowering our entire workforce, and that extends to our entire supply chain.

We manufacture 100% of our skincare here in the UK with one trusted manufacturer. Our accessories are sourced from audited factories in China using a trusted sourcing partner with whom we have worked for many years.

We have only 1 full-time employee and work with a team of UK based freelance and agencies to support our sales and marketing efforts.

Slavery, be it in the form of servitude, forced labour or human trafficking, is not accepted in any part of our supply chain. We all have a duty to ensure modern slavery cannot continue.

We’re committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business. The Modern Slavery Act (2015) demonstrates the UK’s commitment to lead the global fight against modern slavery.

We uphold our values by working with all our suppliers, implementing preventative measures and remaining vigilant.

Eliminating Slavery in our Supply Chain/Due Diligence

All our suppliers go through a stringent selection process.

We have long standing working relationships with our manufacturing and sourcing partners.

All sign our formal Supplier Code of Conduct stating their commitment to our strict policies on the following areas:

  • Laws and regulations
  • Underage labour
  • Forced labour
  • Freedom of association
  • Discrimination
  • Wages and benefits
  • Working hours
  • Health and safety working conditions
  • Environment
  • Business Integrity
  • Discipline and grievances
  • Transport and freight

We also provide a formal communications channel for anyone to report and area of concern covering any of the above.

Our CEO is responsible for all key supplier relationships and reviews all of the above topics on an ongoing basis with them, making site visits where necessary and requesting relevant evidential documentation where appropriate.

As the team grows our CEO is committed to establishing a training programme for employees and encouraging our suppliers to conduct further training within their own organisations.

This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes SBTRCT Skincare’s slavery and human trafficking statement.
