Today marks the official launch of SBTRCT- all of our products are available to shop now!

To those who have pre-ordered, thank you for your early support, we’ll also be sending out your packages this week. We hope you love them.

To the many heads and hands that have got us to this point, thank you.

Of course, this is really only the start of our journey, but reaching a milestone such as this feels like a good time to reflect on what we are creating and more importantly why?

At SBTRCT we have one guiding principle; less is more. By stripping out all the things we don’t need in life, we are more able to love the things we have made a conscious choice to keep. We believe this to be the future of our society and we apply this ethos to the creation of our skincare. It informs everything from our brand name (pronounced “Subtract”), to our product design and formulations.

It seems we're all waking up to how our everyday choices impact the planet. But the skincare industry has been slow to catch on. That's why when we decided to launch a new range, we decided to do things a little bit differently; guilt-free skincare, so your ethics don’t have to be left at the bathroom door.

Our aim is to address what we see as the three key environmental issues facing our industry:

1. Single-use plastic packaging as the default material for primary packaging
2. Over-reliance on palm oil derived ingredients
3. Water-based formulations

Our choice is to take the very best proven ingredients, such as squalane, glycerine, shea butter and coconut oil, and reduce them down to their most potent form. Creating solid products that negate the need for water-based formulations, palm oil derived ingredients and single-use plastic packaging.

This week our first products, our Gentle Foaming Cleanser and Moisturising Facial Balm with their accessories become available to all. We hope you enjoy using them as much as we have enjoyed bringing them to you.
